Farmers' markets create a direct link from the farm to the city. Farmers carry their goods to a central market where a density of consumers can view and purchase fresh, local produce and value-added goods. SEMAP is a regional coalition of local growers, not-for-profit agencies, and educational and governmental organizations that provides financial, technical, business, outreach, and other support services to the agricultural sector in Southeastern Massachusetts to help secure a secure and profitable future for agriculture in the region. | ||
