The Summer Youth
Outreach program is aimed primarily at Khmer-speaking teenage young women,
aged 15 to 16, who find themselves stressed by strong peer pressure and
societal influences to use drugs, drink and engage in dangerous activity.
The teens are encouraged to talk about themselves and work out
positive life plans. This program is one of seven Micro-Grant Programs
funded by the 2004 Harvard-Pilgrim Healthcare Foundation Healthy Fall
River grant. | ||
