Partners for a Healthier Community and the Greater New Bedford Health and Human Services Coalition held its 3rd Annual Legislative Forum on October 25, 2002.

Congressman Frank describes the impact of budget cuts on an already strained human service system.

(Above, center) New Bedford Mayor Kaliz and Fall River Mayor Lambert (Center) describe their cities' response to the cuts. (Above, right) Massachusetts Representative Sullivan and Representative Rodrigues talk about the impact of cutbacks and efforts to maintain essential funding.

Mr. Grayson Emery describes the personal impact of cuts on the homeless.  Amy Tobin talks about cuts in teen pregnancy prevention programs. Marion Bower describes the effect of cuts on the elderly. All agency representatives impacted by recent funding cuts are asked to stand.
Awards were given to community members who had contributed to the health of the community.
