This web site offers toll free number ---1-800-651-600 which lists all the times and locations of meetings in  Fall River, Swansea, Seekonk, Dartmouth, New Bedford etc. Of all the resources for weight loss this one is the most “natural” utilizing real food and teaching people to make the correct choices.  It is offered daily at one location or another and is sometimes available 2 or 3 times on the same day at different times.

www.NutriSystem.com *

www.OvereatersAnonymous.com

Overeater’s Anonymous uses a religious base for their plan and has been proven to be effective for those who are receptive to that particular approach. It has local meetings in Fall River and meets Saturday at the Super Stop and Shop at 10:00 AM, on Sunday at the same location at 6:00 PM and at BCC on Elsbree St on Tuesdays at 3:15 PM

* All three of these plans are good, but the food is delivered to your door (some of it is dehydrated and needs to be reconstituted with water) and all of the contents are already figured out by caloric content etc.  It is convenient, but it does not teach you how to choose the correct foods.  And it is expensive—average cost is $10 dollars a day or about $70-$80 a week.  Once you have lost the weight you have to learn to eat correctly again and it can be a problem.
