Services |
|
We provide
individual, child, family and group therapy, as well as
psychiatric medication services. Medication only clients are
required to engage in regular counseling contacts, as a rule.
-
Substance dependent clients
in need of medical detox, such as for alcohol,
benzodiazepine or opiate dependence can access
detoxification services 24/7.
-
Dual Diagnosis Acute
Stabilization (DDAS) is available 24/7. Most insurances
are accepted. Many – such as MA Health require prescreening
at Corrigan Crisis Services. This is for clients who have
substance abuse and mental health issues who require an
inpatient stay. Sometimes this is a step up from a lower
level of care at SSTAR or a step down from hospital.
-
Structured Outpatient
Addiction Program (SOAP) is a residential program available
for up to 21 days for clients in early recovery who are
homeless or those who have no safe place to return to
because of the risk of relapse. They may be waiting for a
halfway house admission. SOAP admission is available
24/7. Most insurances are accepted.
-
Open Access Intensive
Outpatient Program (IOP) or Evening IOP are designed for
clients in the first 90 days of recovery or who are trying
to stop, but do not need a medical detoxification. Average
client stay is five weeks. Length of stay is based on
clinical need and may vary. Clients can call to request
treatment and start treatment the same day. For daytime IOP,
a new client will be instructed to come in at 7:30 am the
following weekday. The Intake will usually be completed by
9 am. IOP program hours are 8:30 am to 1 pm on weekdays.
Evening IOP intakes begin at 3:30 pm to 5 pm and program
hours are 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm on weekdays. Clients are
advised to come 3-5 times a week, but there is flexibility
in which days or even combining morning and evening program
participation.
-
Family counseling and
education on addiction is available for all levels of care.
A family group is starting soon through the Evening IOP and
open to family members of any SSTAR clients.
-
ARISE is a
non-confrontational family intervention to help to motivate
substance dependent loved ones to enter and stay in
treatment. It can be an effective alternative to
court-ordered treatment through Section 35 useful for
those who are not appropriate for Section 35, but who need
encouragement and information about treatment options.
