Habit Opco provides comprehensive services to individuals addicted to opiates with methadone and suboxone programs.  We also provide out patient substance abuse counseling.  Our programs offer a full range of services: Screening/Intake; Orientation to Treatment and Patient Education; Initial Assessment; Initial Treatment Planning and Periodic Reviews; Methadone Maintenance and Medically Supervised Withdrawal; Suboxone Treatment; Counseling Services; Case Management and Referral; Medical Services; and Follow –Up and Discharge Planning.

The program’s philosophy is that we are dedicated to treating people with dignity and respect and assisting them to obtain a drug free lifestyle.  Our philosophy is based on the fact that methadone, combined with life skills counseling, has been shown to be the best treatment available for opiate-dependent individuals.  Habit OPCO recognizes that opiate dependence is a complex disorder requiring expertise in addressing all of its many consequences.  We utilize a multi-disciplinary approach to treatment addressing the physical, psychological, spiritual and social aspects of addiction.  Each patient is assessed and a treatment plan is developed to meet his/her needs.  Counseling is provided by professional staff to assist patients in learning new skills and making the necessary lifestyle changes to eliminate drug-seeking and drug-abusing behaviors.  We address the needs of patients who are defined as high risk such as intravenous drug users, pregnant women and individuals infected with HIV/AIDS and other chronic illnesses in order to help them access appropriate medical services and make responsible healthcare decisions.   Our objectives include reducing and/or eliminating the dangers associate with IV drug use and other public health issues that commonly accompany the pervasive problem of drug addiction.

Fall River Habit OPCO is one service in the continuum of treatment for individuals who are working on recovery issues.  The model followed is a multidisciplinary approach with a Harm Reduction orientation. Treatment services include short-term detoxification, long-term detoxification and methadone maintenance provided in the following modalities: individual counseling, group counseling (including psycho education), family counseling, couples counseling and case management services.  Information and referral services are provided in all of the treatment modalities.
