Selected students participate in an engineering design project with engineers from among a group of participating local and regional industries who present an engineering problem to the students, guide them through the design phases of a prototype and final acceptance of a product or fixture and presentation to all participating industries at the College in May. The program also includes a summer camp program as described in 2002 in the Fall River Herald News. |

Goal: |
To introduce, encourage and support females pursuing non-traditional careers to aid in developing a workforce of trained, educated young women prepared with skills as prescribed by leaders in local industries. |

Continue to expand it’s parameters to include a larger group of female students, and additional local and regional businesses and industries. |

The program runs each year from October to May and renews itself annually with a new set of projects. |

| Indicators: | Increase in numbers of women entering the workforce in high paying engineering and computer information systems jobs. | |
