The
Shepherd’s Center, an interfaith volunteer corporation, and the Khmer Family
Resource Center, a non-profit mutual assistance organization whose mission
is to improve the quality of life for Khmer families in the Fall River area,
have undertaken a relationship-building activity that consists of having
volunteer drivers from the Shepard’s Center provide medical transportation
to elders identified by the Khmer Resource Center. This program is one of
seven Micro-Grant Programs funded by the 2004
Harvard-Pilgrim Healthcare
Foundation Healthy Fall River grant. |
