Combined Sewer Overflow Project
Action Plan Participant:
City of Fall River

The City's Combined Sewer Overflow project will significantly reduce the amount of untreated sewage flowing into Mt. Hope Bay during periods of significant rainfall. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2004.

Goal:

To eliminate combined sewer overflow into Mount Hope Bay thereby reducing pollution to acceptable levels.

Method(s):

Construction of the CSO Abatement Plan as approved by EPA and DEP.

Timeline:          

Construction is ongoing. Completion by 2020.

Indicators:       

Improved waster quality in Mt. Hope Bay and adjacent rivers

Progress: The CSO project continues to move forward on its projected timeline.

Support the CSO Abatement Plan. Clean litter from the shoreline.
