SER IBM Reading
Recognition Program |
The IBM Reading Recognition Program helps new learners to read and to improve their pronunciation skills. It also helps learners identify new vocabulary via the graphic shown on some books. Voice recognition technology enables the computer to "hear" and understand a full range of accents as students pronounce words on the screen. It also repeats words so students can hear the correct pronunciation. SER-Jobs for Progress is one of several sites selected by the computer manufacturer IBM to share a $1.5 million national adult literacy grant. |
