| An award-winning Neighborhood Crime Watch program has been operating in a number of Fall River neighborhoods enlisting citizens through neighborhood associations to increase surveillance and resulting in arrests for drug-related criminal activity as part of the Safe Neighborhoods Initiative. | ||

Inform, encourage and support the establishment of Neighborhood Crime Watch programs through all the neighborhood associations. | |

| Indicators: | The establishment of at least one new group. | |
| Progress: | The neighborhood associations have worked together over the past year to address common concerns. The prevention of Heroin abuse was the major focus of concerns this year and many of the local leaders participated in the HELPP series at the Fall River Police station. | |

By participating in the Neighborhood Crime Watch training sessions and becoming more knowledgeable of the statewide support and resources. |
