Action Plan Participant:
Fall River Adult Literacy Partnership

The Fall River Adult Literacy Partnership is a coalition of organizations, educational institutions and businesses who are committed to developing quality literacy services for adults who could benefit from basic skill instruction in order to meet their needs as parents, workers, citizens and lifelong learners.

 

Priority Area:  Adult Basic Education, Job Training & Employment 
Priority Sub-Area:   

4, A) Adult and out-of-school youth education
 

Goal:

To increase the numbers of adults who have enrolled in Adult Basic Education courses, ESOL classes and /or supporting literacy services.

Method(s):

Increase the membership of relevant constituencies in the Fall River Adult Literacy Partnership in order to develop the capacity to expand ABE and ESOL classroom opportunities and support services.

Timeline:          

Continuous, 2004-2009

Indicators:       

1) Partnership membership, 2) Increased number of literacy programs & activities 3) Increased enrollment in literacy programs and services

Progress: Partnership membership added five new active members associated with the Pathways to Family Success Team, increased the number of programs and activities and increased enrollment in literacy services by 32 slots in Title I classes.

Attend Partnership meetings held at Bristol Community College, Room L108, 2nd Tuesday of every month, October-June, please RSVP.
