Summer Block Parties
Action Plan Participant:
Community Development Recreation
Three neighborhood block parties sponsored by Mayor Robert Correia and Community Development Recreation were held over the summer of 2008 and more are proposed for 2009. The parties promote City programs and bring the neighborhood together with activities and music during the summer. The event included pony rides, face painting, arts & crafts, carnival games, as well as many other activities. Click here to see the party held at Thomas Chew Park.

Goal:

To promote City programs and bring the neighborhood together

Method(s):

Plan and hold a multiple block-parties with pony rides, face painting, arts & crafts, carnival games, as well as many other activities.
