ComCast, the cable television broadcaster and cell phone provider for the City of Fall River, working in cooperation with the Mayor's Office of Volunteerism, held a clean-up and painting project at North Park in Fall River on October 4, 2003. This is an example of the kind of effort that contributes to a Healthier Fall River and can be organized by any group within the City. Volunteer Coordinator Eric Poulin can be contacted at 508-324-CITY (324-2489) to arrange to have the Department of Public Works deliver gloves and bags and to pick up trash bags at any event. Why not organize a clean up project in your neighborhood? Its great exercise, and it improves the quality of life for everyone in the City! |
