Nutrition
educators from the University of Massachusetts Extension Nutrition Education Program
in Fall River offered their sixth cooking demonstration at the Downtown
Farmers' Market on August 25, 2011 with a grilled apple cheese
sandwich made with locally-raised Ginger Gold apples. Nutrition
educator Lindsey Magan went through the steps in making the sandwich,
including grilling the apple slices and both sides of the bread to
increase the crispiness. The entire demonstration was videotaped by Phil
Sabatino for airing on Fall
River Government Channel on cable television. Click
