Community Development Re-creation
runs a daily
activity program as part of the
Summer Food Service Program (SFSP)
at Pulaski Park. On July 14, 2011, about a dozen young people
participated in a ball game at the park led by CD staffer Cory Luz. The
game involved kids of all ages in a vigorous and fun game between the
two teams.
A nutritious free lunch was served afterwards, as it is to all children 18 years of age and
younger, Monday through Friday, from Monday, June 27th through September
2nd at Griffin, Lafayette, North and Ruggles Parks. Abbott
Court, Kennedy, Maplewood, and Pulaski Parks from 12:00
Noon to 1:00 p.m. Father
Diaferio Village, Pleasant View and Bennie Costa housing developments will serve lunch from
12:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. The B.M.C. Durfee, Doran, Greene, Kuss and
Westall schools serve from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Park activities are provided
daily from 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM. The
program has been in place for the past 15 years. Click here
