A group of nine people from the Fall River Neighborhood Associations volunteered to clean up the northern portion of Plymouth Avenue and to fill newly-installed planter concrete planter boxes with flowering plants on Juy 2 , 2011. Included among the group were neighborhood leaders Sarah Davis Riley from the Copicut N.A., Pamela Laliberte-Lebeau from the Saint Anne's N.A., and John Sylvia from the Niagara N.A. Also in the group were volunteers Dawn Nardi from the Flint N.A. and Bill Oakhem, City Councilor Ray Mitchell and electoral candidates Paul DaSilva, Michael Miozza and Kathy Ann Viveiros. The group weeded and swept the area around the new planter boxes and then planted each with a pleasant selection of flowering plants designed to enhance the traffic-filled area.
