Robert Canuel, People,
Incorporated's CEO, invited his staff to participate in an outdoor
adventure this coming spring that would take them as far as the top
of Mount Washington in New Hampshire by next September. At a meeting
held on February 10, 2001, Mr. Canuel described a plan put together by the
agency's Wellness Committee, headed by Marilyn Grubb, to schedule six
Saturday trips to hiking trails in New England. Beginning with shorter
hikes at Sachusett Point
in Newport, R.I., and the National
Seashore Museum in Eastham, MA, the group would gradually be
introduced to more difficult events in New Hampshire in June, July and
August. The finale of the series would be a climb up Mount Washington to
the top of New England's tallest mountain. "It will be a tough climb,
but you'll be rewarded by the most spectacular
view of the White Mountains you've ever seen," exclaimed Canuel.
The group plans to begin getting into shape with some shorter walks
around the Industrial Park and nearby Watuppa
Reservation. Click

October and here

information about these unique employee fitness programs, contact Wellness Director Marilyn
Grubb at 508-679-5233. |
