Winners of a
contest announced on July 7th were present on August 26, 2011 to display their work at the new 3.000
square foot space across South Main Street from the Clipper
Restaurant that the City has acquired. Artists submitted design proposals
for review by the Greater
Fall River Art Association board members, and winners were given
materials to use in creating their winning designs. "It was a
challenge working with enamel paints," noted winning artist Elsie
Goldstein. "We had to use a paint that would hold up in an outdoor
environment, unlike the paints that I am used to working with," she
added. The Outdoor Gallery is a collaboration among the Greater Fall
River Art association, Millbilly Art Studios and YouthBuild. Click
