Employees at Philips Lightolier, a Fall River lighting company in the Airport Industrial Park with over 600 employees, participated in its fourth annual company-wide health fair held on October 6, 2011 in the company cafeteria. Workers could get their blood pressure and cholesterol checked by Southcoast Hospital staff or get information from Saint Anne's Hospital or twenty community health organizations in the Greater Fall River area, "This is always a popular event" commented occupational therapist Mary Dunn. "Our employees have an increasing interest in making positive changes in their health status, and this fair really helps," she added. Lightolier has been a leader in bringing health resources to the worksite. Click here to see a short video of the event. Click here, here, and here to see some of the things the company has done.
