According to Assistant Director of Community Relations Steven Camara, "Civic engagement is more that an appropriate phrase that recognizes the importance of people becoming empowered to commit to community improvement through good citizenship.  Civic engagement is the means to build community and make it a better place for people to live, work and raise their families." Mr. Camara invites people to think about how they might advance a commitment to “civic engagement” through the use of public access television. Public access television is available to anyone through Fall River Community Television (FRCTV) on cable television Channel 95. FRCTV staff offers training on the first Tuesday and Wednesday of each month for groups of four or more people. Following training, participants will be authorized to schedule the television studio and use a wide range of filming and editing equipment to produce  announcements, program or series of programs. For more information, contact FRCTV’s Director of Television Services Keith Thibault at 508.678.2811 EXT. 2354.
