Elementary age children had the chance to learn the fundamentals of baseball at District Attorney Sam Sutter’s Free Sports Clinic held at the B.M.C. Durfee High School on April 2, 2011. The Clinic was conducted by members of the high school varsity baseball team and staff from the Bristol County District Attorney's Office who volunteer their time to provide instruction. The program gives both boys and girls a chance to learn and practice a game that can give them a lifetime of heart-healthy activity. DA Sutter’s Free Sports Clinics are held throughout Bristol County and offer instruction in tennis, basketball and baseball. “In addition to the great benefit of reaching out to the community and teaching kids a sport they can play for their entire lives, there is another message here: Through partnerships and volunteerism all of us can make a difference in our communities,” DA Sutter said.
