People,
Incorportated held an open house on October 21, 2010 for their new
F.A.C.E. (Family
Advocacy and Community Education) unit that now operates out of 170
Pleasant Street, the location that formerly housed the Diabetes
Association, now a program of FACE collaborates with a wide range of
community partners to ensure that the needs of individuals with life
challenges and their families are met. FACE programs offer information,
support, technical assistance and workshops for individuals, families and
the professionals who work with them. In addition to serving people with
diabetes, the program works with adults with developmental
disabilities and people at the Family
Resources Center. The program also coordinates the Spiritual
Connections program as well as education through Jack
Yates training, the Human
Services Academy and the United
Partnership Program. The Pleasant Street offices also houses the Fall
River office of the SMILES
mentoring program. For more information about the program, contact
