B.M.C. Durfee High School seniors had the chance to speak with representatives of local Schools, trade unions, military recruiters and support services at the 4th annual Opportunity Fair held on May 20, 2010 held in the Luke Urban Fieldhouse. The fair is sponsored by the Durfee Guidance Office and the Bristol Workforce Investment Board to provide opportunities for graduating seniors who plan to attend a local college but may still need to enhance skills through short-term occupational training in order to secure part-time or full-time employment, as well as for those who have not finalized their plans for after graduation. The fair is also an opportunity for training providers to identify candidates for upcoming educational programs, as well as for employers and trade unions to identify candidates for apprenticeships. For more information about the event, contact Ms.Aimee Bronhard at 508.675.8100, Ext. 1199.
