Kids in grades 3-5 have the chance to learn and play some heart-healthy basketball every Sunday morning from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Community Development Recreation (CD-REC) at the Armory on Bank Street. "I started working as a coach here almost 15 years ago," reported CD-REC Program Director Jamison Souza. "We've been doing this every Sunday morning during the fall ever since," he stated. The program is open to anyone from Fall River for only $35 for the entire season. About sixty children participate throughout the season that runs from September 26th through Dec. 12th during the 2010 season. Children start the morning by learning some of the basics of the game during a clinic and then have the chance to play on a team. Everyone is rotated through the line-up so everyone has the chance to play each morning. For more information, call CD-REC at 508-679-0922 or go to www.CDREC.org
