Seniors at B.M.C. Durfee
High School had the opportunity to learn how
to sharpen their job search skills with the help of senior
Guidance
Counselor Kerry LaCharity.
The afternoon workshop on March 4, 2009, gave each of the participants
the opportunity to fine tune their job searching skills and to get ideas
for how to look for the kind of job that would give them what they want
in the way of experience and remuneration. "Many students know the kind
of job they want, they just need help in learning how to find it,"
stated Ms. LaCharity. The program is offered free of charge to high
school seniors who are looking for work in the summer after graduation.
This is one of four workshops supported by a youth violence
prevention grant from the Massachusetts
Department of Public Health. For more information, contact
Ms. LaCharity at
508-675-8100 x1220. |
