The 5thChallenge Event of the
2009
Fitness Challenge took place at the Heritage State Park visitor's
center near the Battleship
USS Massachusetts on March 21, 2009. Jessica Williams,
nutritionist for the
UMass
Extension Nutrition Education
program and Randy Benevides
of Diman Regional High School volunteered their time to share some
secrets of healthy cooking. With participants in the Fitness challenge
helping, the two chefs both demonstrated how to cook a healthy meal
while explaining some important nutritional information.
Fitness instructor Amy Jones
has emphasized good nutrition during the twenty-week challenge.
Recipes were also available for participants to take home.
