The SouthCoast Media Group held “Go Healthy! SouthCoast Expo,” a special health and wellness event, held on October 25, 2008, in the main lobby of Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School. The Expo was geared to serving healthy-minded consumers along with the SouthCoast area’s top health and wellness professionals and businesses. Free to the public, the event was designed to improve overall health awareness of the SouthCoast community. Nearly 500 attendees had the opportunity to participate in a wide array of free medical tests and screenings as  well as to gather information about concerns ranging from nutrition to health insurance. Physical fitness professionals also demonstrated simple exercises and yoga techniques that can benefit the entire family in reducing stress. Click here for the Standard-Times article about the event. For more information, contact Diane Nichols, Expo Coordinator, at SouthCoast Media Group at 508-979-4346.
