Healthy City Fall River was one of a dozen participants in a Benefits Fair organized for Fall River City employees at Government Center on April 23, 2008. The event gave city employees the opportunity to talk directly with representatives of insurance and other benefits programs that they are eligible for. The day-long fair also gave employees a chance to look over some of the resources that are being promoted by the new Municipal Wellness Program, funded by a grant from the Department of Public Health. Information was also available for employees on the ten walking paths designated by Healthy City Fall River. Click here for information on the START Walking program sponsored by the American Heart Association. For more information about the Municipal Wellness Program, contact Marilyn Edge at 508-324-2423.
