A parade of people in support of the Citizens Scholarship Fund in Fall River walked from B.M.C. Durfee High School to Bristol Community College where they gathered in the lobby of the Jackson Arts Building to hold a rally in support of the Fund's latest fundraising challenge. Led by School Committeeperson Joseph Martin and Dr. Irving Fradkin, founder of Scholarship America, speaker underscored the importance of contributing to the fund drive that was begun fifty years ago. Scholarship America honored Dr. Fradkin by presenting him the first annual Eagle Award to highlight his years of advocacy and dedicated service to the organization. The Eagle Award was presented to Dr. Fradkin by his grandson, Jeffery M. Silverman, and other Scholarship America supporters and board members at an annual gala event on October 16 in Providence, R.I.
