Fitness
Challenge, the
Diabetes Association, Inc.
(DAI) began
offering yoga classes
to all
challenge participants, beginning on April 1, 2008, from 12:15-1:00 PM
at the DAI offices, 170 Pleasant Street. Classes beginners and
all levels are offered at $5 per session and are held weekly. Kerry
Smith instructs participants in the
basics of yoga movements ( Asanas) designed to increase flexibility,
balance, breathing, relaxation and an improved sense of health.
Yoga can
be practiced in many situations and is ideal for people who spend their
day in an
office setting. For more info on the yoga classes, contact
Amber Vlangas at the
Diabetes Association at 508-672-5671. |
