The Fall River
Master Plan was begun last year as a way of mapping out the city's
future and insuring that future development in the city, both
residential and commercial, will allow for growth that is reasonable and
sustainable. Meetings of the Planning Committee pictured below took
place on April 18th and May 16th, 2007, at the Cherry & Webb Building
downtown. Representatives of Community Preservation Associates of
Arlington, MA, were on hand to discuss some ideas for preserving or
adapting some of the City's many historic buildings, as well as major
zoning issues. The group is planning a public meeting to solicit
responses to the ideas developed through the committee meetings. A
Downtown
Planning meeting was also held in May, 2006. For
more information about the Master Planning Committee, contact Director
of Municipal Services James
Smith at 508-324-2600. |
