The Advisory
Board of the Child Advocacy Center
of Bristol County held a grand opening and ribbon cutting on June 7,
2007, for the newly-completed center located on the lower floor of the
Cherry & Webb building in downtown Fall River. The 2,500 square foot
facility provides interview space with an adjoining observation room
for Bristol County victims of abuse to testify. An adjoining medical
examination facility permits the entire process to take place in one
facility. Up to now, victims have had to travel to Boston or Providence.
Bristol County has been the only one in Massachusetts
without such a facility.
