Community Development Re-creation kicked off the summer with a
three-hour free celebration with music, food and fun at Ruggles Park.
Activities included a rock climbing wall, pony rides, arts and crafts,
balloons and carnival games for kids of every age. Pizza and
refreshments were provided by Domino's Pizza of south Main Street. Fall
River Community outreach sponsored a basketball shoot-out and Team
F.R.E.S.H. hosted field games. "This annual event is a great way to kick
off the start of our summer recreation programs and the free Summer
Lunch in the Parks program," said Grace S. Gerling, executive director
of CD-REC. "We are proud to be sponsoring this event with Seth
Hockert-lotz of Domino's Pizza and are thankful for his continued
support through the years and are very excited to share this day with
the Greater Fall River community." For more information about the event
or any of the summer programs, contact CD-REC at 508-679-0922. |
