Over forty local artists and performers brought the streets around the Narrows Center for the Arts at 16 Anawan Street alive for the fifth annual art festival on September 10, 2006. Renamed the Narrows Festival of the Arts, the former Fall River Festival of the Arts was held on Water Street close to Fall River's waterfront just a block from the City's new Ponta Delgada Gates. While musicians played on two sound stages, vendors sold everything from jewelry to photographs. A food court featured local fare from the Water Street Cafe, TA's Restaurant, LePage's Seafood, Graham's Hot-Dogs, and Swede's Cafe. As an added attraction, members of the Fall River Little Theatre and the Society for Creative Anachronisms strolled about the area decked out in medieval costumes.
