The Fall River Youth Council, in partnership with the Fall River Housing Authority and Community Development Recreation, hosed their third annual Make a Difference Day Halloween Party, on October 28, 2006, at the Niagara Senior Center. Over 100 elementary and middle school youth enjoyed face painting, bag-making, pumpkin decorating, cookie decorating and participated in costume and dance contests. Participants were asked to bring a canned good to be donated to the Veterans Association of Bristol County, and donors received a raffle ticket good for prizes for those who donated the most items. Make a Difference Day is the national day of doing good, an opportunity to give back to the community, and Youth Council members were encouraged to participate.
