The Police
Athletic League runs a girls fast pitch softball league that gives
nearly 300 girls the chance to participate in a fun and healthy team
sport every summer in Fall River. Teams are organized for 5-8 year-olds
playing t-ball, 8-11 in Junior B, 11-13 in Junior A, and 14-18 in Senior
levels. Games are played at Ruggles Park, Pulaski Park and Talbot Middle
School for t-ball. Everyone plays. League organizer Dan Ferreira sees
the league as an excellent opportunity for young girls to move into
college level softball where scholarships are becoming more available.
For more information about the league, contact Dan Ferreira at
508-415-0486 after 5:00 p.m. Click
