Every day of the work week,
without fail, crews from the Fall River Department of Public Works
remove waste from the city streets. About 65 labor force employees work
to ensure that trash is picked up on a
regular basis. The Fall River
Department of
Public Works helps to make Fall River a cleaner place to live and
work, one of the Healthy City goals of
Cleaner Streets and Parks,
by maintaining a crew of dependable workers who clear the streets of
rubbish and debris, but the public also plays a big role by making sure
that trash cans are covered and that liquid waste is properly packaged
so it does not leak on the streets and in the truck. If further
details are needed, please call the Department of Public Works at (508)
324-2760, or for Recycling information, (508) 324-2580.
