The
Fall River
Public Library and Slade's
Ferry Bank teamed up this past summer on "Read Happily Ever After,"
a series of activities and special events designed to encourage
youngsters to read over the summer months. This is part of an ongoing
effort on the part of the library to foster literacy and to get parents
involved in teaching reading skills to their children. All of the
programs are provided free of charge to local children; some of the
costs of the programs are raised through charitable contributions. More information
about the Library's reading programs and opportunities can be obtained
by contacting the Children's Librarian, David Mello, at 508-324-2700. |
