Building Our
Lives Drug-Free (BOLD), the new name of the recently-formed
Fall River Area
Prevention Coalition, appeared on a float assembled by young people
who participated in
"Up With Arts", a
six-week summer youth program that ran for six weeks at St. Luke's Church on
Warren Street. The program was planned and organized by
Teens Against
Drug Abuse (TADA), a subcommittee of the
Coalition organized in early 2005 to address the prevention of alcohol and
other drug abuse in Fall River. The float was towed through the August
11th parade during Fall River Celebrates America and was seen by
hundreds of people from Fall River. |
